Dental Bonding

Dental bonding is an alternative to porcelain veneers and can be used as a restorative procedure for teeth that are chipped, discolored or mildly misshaped.

How does dental bonding work?

The tooth is prepared for dental bonding and lightly etched to allow a physical bond with the composite restorative material. State of the art bonding agent utilizing nano-technology and custom colored composite materials are applied and cured into the preparation.  Once cured, the resin is smoothed and polished to a natural appearance.

Considerations for Dental Bonding

The bonding procedure is usually used for small chips or small space closures and can often be completed in a single office visit.  For larger space closures, or more involved changes to tooth shape, porcelain veneers are often used.
